What is VitalCacao?

VitalCacao is ceremonial-grade Criollo cacao, the same variety studied in the COSMOS trial, where 21,442 participants showed a 27% reduction in cardiovascular mortality over 3.6 years.Unlike supermarket cocoa, VitalCacao is never alkalized or dutch-processed. That single difference preserves 600–800mg of flavanols per serving. the bioactive compounds that trigger your body's own nitric oxide production and help your blood vessels relax from within. One morning cup. The same time every day. That's the entire protocol.

"I'm not the type to write reviews. But after two years of CoQ10, magnesium, and three different BP supplements that did exactly nothing, I figure someone else needs to hear this. I gave it six weeks before saying anything — I didn't want to get my hopes up again. Week four I noticed the morning readings looked different. I kept measuring. By week seven I called my cardiologist and she said: keep doing whatever this is. I haven't changed anything else."

My daughter bought this for me after my last check-up. I'll be honest — I thought it was another wellness fad. But she researched it properly and showed me the flavanol studies, and I figured: thirty-day guarantee, what's the risk. Five weeks in, my hands stopped going cold in the evening. I sleep through the night now for the first time in two years. My doctor noticed my readings at the last appointment and asked what I'd changed. That's the only endorsement I needed.

I've been on ramipril for three years. I wasn't looking to stop it — I'm not an idiot — but I wanted to see if there was something I could do alongside it. Tried beet juice for a month. Tried hawthorn extract. Neither moved anything. The cacao actually makes biological sense to me: flavanols, nitric oxide, endothelial function — I read the research before ordering. Eight weeks in, my GP lowered my dose at my last review. I haven't told anyone at work. But I'm telling you

I work long days and I've been on blood pressure medication for four years. My wife was more worried about it than I was. She ordered this and basically put it in front of me every morning. I'm not the type to get excited about these things — but I notice I get through the afternoon without the energy dip I thought was just normal. My last check-up was the first one where the doctor said 'keep this up' instead of suggesting we adjust the dose.

I researched the flavanol literature for three weeks before ordering. The mechanism made sense — endothelial support, not symptom suppression. After five weeks my systolic readings are consistently lower and my doctor reduced my medication dose at the last check-up. I am still measuring every morning and still cautious, but the numbers are clear enough to keep going.

Diagnosed with high blood pressure eighteen months ago. I took the medication but I was not willing to be on it for the rest of my life without trying everything else first. The morning ritual is non-negotiable now. Under my doctor's guidance I have gone from two medications to one. I feel more like myself than I have in three years.

Why your morning ritual matters more than you think?

Your blood pressure doesn't rise overnight, and it won't improve overnight either. What works is daily, consistent flavanol intake that gives your endothelium what it needs to produce nitric oxide. VitalCacao delivers a clinical dose every single morning, in under five minutes.

How to Consume

STEP 1
Add about 3-4mg cacao to a cup
STEP 2
Pour 200ml of warm water or plant-based milk into the cup. Make sure the temperatures of the liquid is never above 100°C. Otherwise the flavanol content that you are here for will be reduced.
STEP 3
Use your bamboo whisk for 60 seconds until lightly frothy. Drink immediately, every morning. That's the protocol.

Key Ingredients

The primary flavanol responsible for cardiovascular benefit. Epicatechin activates eNOS, the enzyme
your endothelial cells use to produce nitric oxide. This is the compound studied in the COSMOS trial and cited in the EFSA scientific opinion on cocoa flavanols and blood flow. VitalCacao delivers clinically meaningful concentrations per serving
because it is never alkalized, the process that destroys up to 90% of epicatechin in commercial cocoa.

Cacao's primary stimulant, and fundamentally different from caffeine. Theobromine is a mild vasodilator: it gently widens blood vessels rather than raising heart rate. Unlike coffee, it does not trigger cortisol release or cause the blood pressure spike associated with caffeine. Each serving contains approximately 150,200mg, enough for gentle, sustained vascular support throughout the morning.

Beyond epicatechin, VitalCacao contains a full spectrum of naturally occurring flavanols including catechin, procyanidins B1 and B2. These work synergistically, not as isolated compounds, but as the complete matrix nature intended. This is why whole ceremonial cacao outperforms extracted supplements in bioavailability studies: the full matrix is more than the sum of its parts.

45mg per serving, naturally present in Criollo cacao. Magnesium is essential for arterial smooth muscle relaxation, the physical mechanism behind healthy blood pressure. Over 50% of adults with hypertension are clinically magnesium-deficient. VitalCacao contributes meaningfully to daily magnesium intake without supplementation.

Naturally occurring trace minerals in every serving. Iron supports red blood cell production and oxygen transport. Zinc contributes to normal cardiovascular function and immune response. Manganese supports antioxidant enzyme activity, working alongside the flavanol complex to protect arterial walls from oxidative damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Commercial hot chocolate and supermarket cocoa are alkalized, a process that destroys 60–90% of the flavanols that make cacao cardiovascularly active. VitalCacao is never alkalized, never dutch processed. The result is 600–800mg of bioactive flavanols per serving — the concentration studied in clinical trials. The comparison is like asking whether red wine and grape juice are the same thing because they come from the same fruit.

VitalCacao is a food, not a drug. However, because flavanols have a mild blood pressure-lowering effect, we recommend informing your doctor before starting. We include a "What Do I Tell My Doctor" research brief with every 90 and 180-day order specifically to make that conversation easy. Some customers have discussed medication adjustments with their GP after consistent use, but that decision belongs entirely to your doctor.

Clinical studies show measurable nitric oxide increases within 2–4 weeks of daily intake. Blood pressure changes are typically measurable by week 6–8. This is why we recommend starting with the 60 day protocol as a minimum, it takes you through the full threshold where cardiovascular adaptation is clinically documented. We include a BP tracking journal so you can measure your own progress from day one.

Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this to monitor your package's progress.

Whole ceremonial cacao contains the complete flavanol matrix, epicatechin, catechin, procyanidins, theobromine and magnesium working together as nature combined them. Bioavailability studies consistently show the full matrix outperforms isolated extracted compounds. Beyond the science, a daily morning ritual you actually enjoy is more likely to become a permanent habit than a capsule you forget. Consistency is the mechanism. The ritual is what creates consistency.
